Girls’ Basketball Loses A Nail-Biter to Monroe

The crowd was ecstatic as the Hornets battled through the fourth quarter in their game against Monroe last Friday night.  Saline lost by two to the Trojans after mostly back-and-forth action throughout all four quarters.  The loss was especially bitter for the Hornets, after losing by three points in the District Opener game last March.  The loss was just a few days after beating the Trojans in their final home game of the season.

While losing was upsetting for both the girls and the coaches, the team looks forward to facing again the Trojans at their home gym in Monroe in a few weeks.  With a score to settle, Saline will be anxiously waiting and preparing for their next opportunity to stick it to the Trojans.

The Girls’ team host Bedford on Tuesday and then they will visit Pioneer in Ann Arbor this Friday at 7pm while the Boys’ team plays the Pioneers at home.
