|Game Recap||Tuesday, August 28, 2012CASS BENTON PARK-The Saline High School boys cross country team traveled to Northville to compete at the Mustang Invitational today. The day’s race format consisted of races being split between a freshman and sophomore race and a junior a senior race.
The junior/senior runners were the first to take on what some say is one of the hardest cross country courses in state of Michigan. The Hornets claimed four spots in the top fifteen of the upperclassmen race. Senior, Andrew Kitto led the Hornets with a fourth place overall finish by covering the 5k course in 16:47. Close behind were teammates, Anthony Lamus (17:06) in seventh and Grant Praschan (17:20) in tenth. Dylan Jennings was awarded fifteenth place with a time of 17:41. Other medalists in the upperclassmen race were John Dolsen (17th, 17:43) and Patrick Dunn (25th, 18:07). As a team, Saline captured first place beating out Romeo with a score of 53 to 82. Livonia Stevenson took third with a team score of 96.
In the freshman/sophomore race sophomore Kevin Hall led the way for Saline with a fifth place overall finish and a time of 17:42. Brennan Corcoran was the second Hornet to cross the finish line in the time 18:51 and placed 15th overall. Other medalists for Saline in the underclassmen race were Bryan Adamovicz (18th, 18:53) and Diego Morse (20th, 19:07). In the team standings for the freshman/sophomore race, the boys took second to Northville by 11 points with a score of 82. Next up for the boys will be the Bath Invitational in Lansing or the Warrior Invitational in Brownstown.
