Saline Girls’ Golf won a tri-match against Lincoln and Ypsilanti on Thursday at Pineview Golf Course’s front nine. The Hornets shot 169 to Lincoln’s 206 and Ypsilanti’s 233. Emily White continued as match medalist with a one over par 37, that included one birdie and two bogeys. Senior Lauren Rasmussen’s 43 was the team’s second best score and continues her rapid improvement with another personal best. Stacy Cruze added a 44 and Samantha Kellstrom, a 45 to finish the team scoring. Coach French said, “Emily played well. She was frustrated with missed putts but scored well in spite of it. We were glad to get a look at the course where our Regional will be played.” Saline is back in action today with a final SEC tri-match with Tecumseh and Pioneer at Tecumseh Country Club.
Saline JV shot a 201 to lose to Lincoln, 200, by a stroke. The Little Pines Golf Course was played. The Hornets were led by Rebecca Smith’s 48, followed closely by Madison Evans at 49, Amanda Dooley at 51 and Frannie Fenelon at 53. Morgan Filsinger had a 54.
