DAILY ANNOUNCEMENTS:  April 28, 2014

Attention ALL students of Saline High School:  Please remember that there is no parking in the front lot for students at any time.  If you come during the day, please park on the Athletic side of building and use the sidewalk to the front sign in desk. The front lot is for visitors only.  Violators will be issued disciplinary referrals.

 

There is a Power of 100 meeting Thursday, at 7:15 in room 238.

 

Are you a junior interested in traveling to Haiti next winter or spring? Pick up an application from Mrs. Denzin in room 241. All interested travelers need to complete the school application by May 1. There are only 20 spots available for each trip.

 

This is a reminder for Seniors to drop off your Congratulatory Letters for any scholarship received by a college, university, trade school or private organization to be included in the Senior Awards night program.  Please drop off your Award Letters to the Guidance Office by Friday, May 2, at 3:00pm.

Attention programming club members, there is a meeting in Mr. Sartori’s room c304 after school on Wednesday, April 30. No experience necessary, all are welcome

The SALINE HIGH SCHOOL CHOIRS will present their annual Musical Theater/Pop cabaret and Dessert Buffet April 28-30! Choirs present a different show every night next week on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Tickets are available at the door $10.00 one night, $15.00 two nights, $20.00 three nights.The songs and skits are heartwarming, hilarious, and always entertaining! Shows are at 7:00pm each night in the SHS auditorium.  Join us for an unforgettable evening!

 

Reminder for The Chordsmen: We are performing at Cabaret tomorrow evening, and will have a 3:00pm dress rehearsal in the auditorium.

 

With May upon us, Student Council Elections are right around the corner. For anyone interested in running for Student Council, this will be the process for the next two weeks:

1. Monday, 4/28: Pick up representative application.

2. Thursday, 5/1: Attend Mandatory Informational Meeting before/after school (7:45am OR      2:45pm)

3. Friday, 5/2: Last Day to turn in applications.

4. Monday, 5/5: Teacher recommendations DUE.

5. Thursday, 5/8: Elections

6. Friday, 5/9: Announcement of 2014-2015 StuCo.

 

Anyone interested in running for Student Council to stop by my room (215) or the Main Office to pick up Application Packets on Monday, 4/28? That would be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if you have additional questions.

Diversity Group Members:    There will be no meeting tomorrow. We will meet Next Tuesday after school in Mrs. Tressler’s room. The meeting on May 6th will be a very important meeting to attend. We will have SEED members from Neutral Zone here to demonstrate shared decision making and informing students of opportunities to become SEED facilitators. Please make every attempt to join us on May 6th for this important meeting.

Anyone wanting to purchase Prom tickets early can do so through the Payschools web site.  This link can be found on the High School Main page under the Quick Links Tab.  Avoid the hassle and last second rush and get your tickets purchased today. Tickets will be sold during lunches beginning May 5.
