Meet Recap

The Saline Boys Golf team won the Tecumseh Invitational on Friday shooting a season low 325. The team tied Pinckney for the lead but Saline’s Josh Finn was the difference as the 5th man tiebreaker. Josh shot 87 to beat Pinckney’s 5th man.

The team also had 4 players make the 10 player All Tournament Team. Josh Brinks and Tim Wageman were the low Hornets shooting 80 and finishing tied for 2nd. Josh’s round also included an eagle just missing a double eagle. In 3rd place was Jack Woods who shot a 81, Grant Terris was 6th with a 84. The victory is the team’s first invitational win in 3 years.

Saline also had a Varsity B team competing. Luke Kellersohn led the way for the Hornets shooting 89, Aidan Bunting 92, Tobias Schmidt 95, Matt Brown 99 and Ethan Shell 102. ” I know these guys would have liked to done better but it was great having all the guys there to share in the Saline victory- it was a very fun day.”
