Game Recap

Thursday night for the first time in seven years Saline Girls Lacrosse hosted the Dexter Dreadnaughts. Our lady laxers limped into tonight’s contest with a number of key players downed with injuries and tonight witnessed 2 more. Before the game started Goal Keeper Rebecca Caswell went down from a shot to the head in warm ups. Then 10 mins into the first half Emma Peoples went down from a check to the head. Even with so much adversity the Hornets were trading goals with the Dreadnaughts until late in second half. The Hornets had 2 firsts in goal tonight. The first one being Katie Jacobsen stepping into the goal making 2 big saves in the first half. Then Eva Doorlag for the first time ever wearing the pads in second half ended the game with 7 saves. The Hornets scoring attack was led by Abby Morton with 4 goals, Quinn Alexis putting in 2 goals along with Kaleigh Riggs, Maddie Potter, and Emily Hill each netting 1 a piece. The Hornets will be traveling to Novi on Friday to take on the Wildcats.
