Game Recap

On Tuesday night in front of a hometown crowd, the Saline Hornets battled their way to a 2-0 victory against SEC foe Skyline Eagles in the first round of Districts. Junior midfielder Bella Petrock put the Hornets on the board after scoring on a penalty kick with 7:30 left to play in the first half. Saline didn’t waste any time in the second half when Tate Robison sent a long ball up in front of the net and found Emily Eitzman who knocked in the second goal of the game. Annika Udrys, who made several strong saves, was awarded with the shutout.

The Hornets will play Pioneer in the next round on Thursday night at home. Game time is 7 p.m.
