Game Recap

The Saline Hornets beat the Woodhaven Warriors 2-1 in the Regional semi-finals in Dearborn.
It was a physical contest with both sides receiving penalty cards late in the game.
The Warriors scored first from a direct kick that was headed into the top of the net and held the Hornets scoreless in the first half. Saline came out strong in the second half scoring two goals within the first 10 minutes of play. The first goal was scored at 32:30 left in the game when Hannah Bird knocked in a long cross by Sophie Wood. Less than two minutes later, Morgan Jones on a pass from Bird, dribbled in and knocked in the winning goal.

Saline will play Plymouth for the Regional Championship on Friday at 7pm at Dearborn High School.
