SHS Sports Nutrition info with food demo
When:  Saturday, March 25th, 10am-noon
Where:  SHS Hornet Hub
Cost:  $20 per student-athlete (parent can attend with their student at no charge)
-registration required, proceeds benefit SASH, Students About Staying Healthy
Learn about the benefits of when and what to eat and drink for optimal sports performance.  The session will also include nutritional information for normal training recovery and recovery after injury.  Learn how fast food and junk food can hurt your performance.  Create and eat a simple healthy snack (allergy note: contains peanut butter). Bring a mixing bowl, spoon and your nutrition questions!
Registration required, deadline Thursday 5pm
Presenter:  Lisa McDowell, MS, RD, CSSD, is the Director of Clinical Nutrition and Wellness at St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Lisa also is the team dietitian for the Detroit Red Wings and works with Olympic, collegiate and other pro athletes.
