Tonight the Hornet football team will face off against Pioneer in their second road game of the season. After handily beating both Ypsilanti and Lincoln the past two weeks, Saline hopes to continue the winning streak by beating their long time rival. The Hornets have been working especially hard in preparation for the match-up.
“We’ve been flying around at practice, being really aggressive,” Senior long snapper Taybor Pepper said. “When someone makes a good tackle we all get really loud and give him praise. It pumps the rest of us up. Pioneer better get ready because we’re going to be loud and in their face. And our special teams is going to be part of the battle. We will win, no doubt.”
The game will take place at 7pm on Hollway Field at Pioneer High School and the student section will be cheering on Saline in an organized blackout.
Pepper, a second-year Varsity Letter Winner and top-rated long snapper has nothing but high hopes for Saline. His one request for the fans and student section at the game? “Get rowdy!”
