Girls Varsity Cross Country · Two Saline Coaches Named State Coach of the Year

Each year, the Michigan High School Coaches Association selects one coach from each high school sport to be named Coach of the Year.  This year Saline High School is proud to have two recipients coaching for our Athletic Department.  Mike Smith, Head Girls’ Cross Country Coach, and Todd Brunty, Head Girls’ Swimming Coach, have been designated Coach of the Year in their individual sports.  Brunty and his team are two time, defending State Champions, and have high hopes for their outcome this year.  Smith is also expecting a good conclusion to the season, as his team looks to win a State Championship as well.  The Banquet celebrating this prestigious award is on Sunday, November 6 in Lansing.  Congratulations to both coaches and good luck in the remainder of their 2011 season.
