Saline High School
It was a thrilling victory for the Saline Hornets Wednesday night in Hornet Stadium. With no time left on the clock, Saine scored on a penalty corner to beat Hartland 2-1.
The attacking penalty corner team performed the corner flawlessly starting with Grace Livsey who pushed out a fast paced ball to Erin Reilly who swept it over to Emi Maloney. Maloney then lifted the ball up and over the goalkeepers head. Though the Hartland’s keeper got a high stick it, the ball came down behind her, and into the goal.
The Hornets first goal was scored by center forward Hannah Jarvie. The defense was lead by right back Kari Szalay.
The Hornets (8-1) play next at home on Monday against Dexter (6-1-1). Game time is 5:30.
