Erin Hudson wins the sprint to start the game out for Rockford. Rachel Byrnes scoring the first goal of the game, putting Jenison in the lead 1-0 with 3:30 left in the first quarter. Rockford draws an exclusion and Erin Hudson scores for Rockford, tying the score up at 1 at the end of the quarter.

Rockford once again controlling the start of the quarter as Erin Hudson wins the sprint again. Hannah Raymond scoring a goal for Rockford and Cassidy Lukaart scoring one for Jenison right away, the score still tied but now 2-2. Rockford draws and exclusion but does not convert on the power play, however Hannah Raymond finding the back of the net just after, putting Rockford ahead of Jenison 3-2 with 4:40 left in the half. After a couple minutes of solid defense, Rockford draws an exclusion and Rockford immediately calls a timeout. Rockford does not convert on the power play. Jenison draws an exclusion but they do not convert. Period ends Rockford 3 and Jenison 2.

Rockford controls the ball at the start of the fourth quarter as Erin Hudson wins the sprint yet again. Saline draws an exclusion but does not convert and off the counter attack a five meter penalty shot is called against Saline. End of regulation, game heads in to overtime! 2 three minute periods will be played. Hannah Lau wins the sprint for Saline to start out the first overtime period. Skyline gets an ejection and Kelsey Carpenter gets her second goal, converting on the 6-on-5. Riley Beemer scores her third goal for Skyline, making 9-7 Skyline with 25 seconds left in the first overtime quarter.

Lau winning the sixth sprint, Saline starts out in control of the second overtime quarter. Skyline wins the game 9-7, getting 7th place at the MHSAA Water Polo State Championships while Saline finishes 8th place. Congratulations ladies!

Skyline draws yet another exclusion with 1:40 left in the game and Hebe Clark scores her second goal of the game, tying the score at 5. At the end of the fourth quarter, the game will go into overtime tied at 5.

The game goes into over overtime with two 3:00 minute periods.

VanderSchaaf once again controlling the ball to start the first of two overtime periods. Skyline drawing an exclusion but does not convert. Score remains tied at 5 with 1:45 left in the first overtime quarter. At the end of the first overtime period, the score remains tied 5-5.

A nice defensive quarter thus far in the game as both teams remain scoreless in the third quarter with two minutes left.
