Girls Soccer Meeting 9/27

There will be a girls soccer meeting for all  high school players.  The meeting will be on Tuesday 9/27 @ 2:45 in the HS commons.

SEC Match against Huron–Girl’s Golf

The Saline Girl’s Golf team remains undefeated in SEC conference play.  The Hornets won their match against Ann Arbor Huron yesterday 173-223. Karla Gross led the Hornets with a 40, Emily White followed with a 43, Stacy Cruze added a 44 and Heather Vogt finished with a 46 to complete the scoring for the team.

Middle School Volleyball vs. Tecumseh & Dexter

In the second match-up of the year Middle School Gold Volleyball played at home against tough Tecumseh teams.  Unfortunately, the Indians outmaneuvered both the 7th and 8th grade Hornets.  The scores of the games were as follows: 7th Grade Gold: Tecumseh won all 3 games with scores of 19-25, 17-25, and 21-25. 8th Grade Gold: 

Saline Soccer Stalemates at Chelsea

Yesterday’s soccer game was ended with a stalemate at Chelsea, 1-1. Chelsea scored it’s only goal at 35:21, and spent the remainder of the game staled by Saline’s strong defense. Saline dominated the game with 15 shots on goal, but were only able to complete one for a score at 14:04 by Victor Pintille. Saline

Equestrian Narrowly Beats Onsted

In their second of three meets determining the District Champion, Saline won again this past Sunday.  While they did not end as far ahead of their competition as in the first meet, Saline came out 41 points ahead of Onsted, putting them in the series lead by a total of 184 points.  Madeleine Cherney, Anna

Pioneer/Tecumseh Golf SEC Match

The Saline Girl’s Golf Team defeated Ann Arbor Pioneer and Tecumseh yesterday in a tri-match at Lake Forest Golf Club. The Hornets shot 166 to defeat Pioneer’s 171 and Tecumseh’s 191.  Karla Gross had three birdies to shoot a one over par 37 to tie for match medalist with Sloane Supica of Pioneer.  Emily White

New Boston Invitational – Girls CC

      The Saline Girl’s Cross Country team had another victory this past Saturday at the New Boston Invitational.  This meet was held at Willow Metropark where eleven schools participated.  Saline won both the Varsity and Junior Varsity races with identical sores of 23.  The Hornets also dominated in the unscored “open” race.     

Strong Beginning for Saline Middle School Football

A beautiful sunny afternoon was the backdrop for the first Middle School Football games of the season.  The Blue Squads played at home against Chelsea, while the Gold traveled to Chelsea for their match-up. Bring Your White Friday Night

Saline returns home this Friday after finishing 1-1 on the road against Lincoln and Ann Arbor Pioneer. This week they play the Bedford Kicking Mules in what will be a great test for the Hornets.
