The Saline wrestlers went to the Northview Invitational with heavy hearts this Saturday. Loaded with top ranked wrestlers from quality programs, the Hornets had to face a number of tough battles. Wrestling Team gets Two more Wins.

The Saline wrestling team added two more victories to it’s solid start to the season on Wednesday night. This brings there record to 9-0 going into this weekends team tournament at Northview. Last night the Hornets defeated Ypsilanti 60 to 18 and Skyline 76 to 6.

Wrestlers Take 1st Place

The Hornet Wrestling Team had a great showing att the 5th annual Todd Schoenheide Challenge in Northville.  The Hornets defeated five teams to claim the 1st place trophy. Saline beat Northville 52 to 27, Dearborn Crestwood 62 to 12, Dearborn 55 to 24, and Plymouth 45 to 22, and Skyline 84 to 0.  This brings

Saline Wrestlers Victorious on Opening Night!

The Saline Varsity Wrestling earned their first two victories at the Manchester Quad Wednesday night.  Our Hornets defeated Clinton 64 to 12.  Next, the Hornets beat Milan 39 to 33 in hard fought match.  Congratulations to our wrestlers and new coaching staff!

Mens’ Wrestling Season Preview

The wrestling winter season has resumed, so the Varsity and JV wrestlers are practicing until their 1st matches on Dec 7th at Manchester Quad with Milan and Clinton. The entire team will also be competing this week on the 10th at the Northville Invite. For the middle school boys, they don’t begin competing until mid-January.

Wrestling Parent Meeting Thursday 11/17

There will be a parent meeting for all parents of HS wrestlers on Thursday 11/17.  The meeting will be in the HS wrestling room at 5:30 p.m.  All parents of wrestlers are encouraged to attend.  The Meeting will cover scheduling, rules, volunteer opportunities, and meeting the coaches.

Open Mats and Clinic for Wrestlers

There will be Open Mats this Thursday, October 27th @ 5:30. Also, on Sunday November 6th there will be a clinic with U of M wrestler Danny Yates at noon.  The cost is $15 per wrestler.
