Eileen Creutz Named Head Girls Cross Country Coach

SALINE, MI – Eileen Creutz, two-time cross country state champion, is returning to lead the girls cross country program. Creutz has spent the last three years working under former head coach, Carl Spina, overseeing the girls varsity runners. Spina steps aside to return his focus full-time to the boys team, after overseeing both programs following the retirement of Mike Smith

On a hot and humid afternoon, the Saline cross country teams ran in the second SEC Jamboree Tuesday. The race was held on a muddy and hilly course at Cass-Benton Park in Northville. Saline’s girls finished second to Pioneer with 38 points. Skyline was third with 88 points. The boys finished third with 52 points.

The Saline cross country teams took second competed in their first conference meet Thursday at Willow Metro Park. In the boys’ varsity races, Saline finished third, behind defending state champions, Pioneer and Chelsea. Chelsea won with 63 points.
