The 2019 season of the Saline High School varsity girls’ softball team is just six games old but already the team has experienced its share of emotional highs and lows. The lady Hornets won all three games of their round-robin play in the softball tournament in early April but then lost in the championship game.

The Saline boys’ track and field team won its second dual meet of the season, defeating Skyline 86-51, at Saline High School Tuesday. The distance runners and relays carried the day for the Hornets. The Saline girls picked up their first SEC Red dual meet victory, defeating Monroe, 105-32, at Saline High School Tuesday. Freshman Madi Wood and junior Emily Cook each won two events on the track to lead Saline. The Hornets won every race in the competition.   Continue Reading at
